O-T is an alumni of the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. His professional career kicked off with an award winning performance in the New York Drama Critics' Circle award winning play '6 degrees of separation', produced at the Royal Exchange. However O-T's life as a performer didn't begin there. Born to an English/Irish mother and a Nigerian father he was given a saxophone for his 10th birthday and within a year was gigging at the Edinburgh festival with A big band jazz band, in his teens this was followed up by performances at the Wembley Conference Centre and the Royal Albert Hall both in Big Bands. Fagbenle then trained under the African Theatre practitioners Rufus Orisayomi and Peter Badejo OBE and performed internationally in African theatre productions including the title role in the Yoruba adaptation of Macbeth 'Akogun'.By the time O-T had made his first significant performance on screen, he had performed hundreds of times in diverse productions from the award winning gritty drama 'Fall Out' directed by Ian Rickson at the Royal Court Theatre to, physical theater productions with Neil Bartlett, major Shakespeare festivals, and starring in the West End production of Porgy and Bess directed by Sir Trevor Nunn. O-T has also spent time in Paris developing work with the legendary Royal Shakespeare Company director Peter Brook.O-T's first Hollywood Film, the Michelle pfeiffer comedy 'I could never be your woman' came right off the back of his first big budget British movie, Anthony Minghella's 'Breaking and Entering'. O-T went on to tackle television, breaking through type casting and genre trends performing in everything from multi-series comedies to hard hitting dramas such as 'Walters War' for the BBC.
